Why Pre-Shipment Inspection Is Essential for Vietnam Imports
Vietnamese factories produce excellent quality — but like all manufacturing environments, variation can occur between your approved sample and mass production. Fragrance loads in candles can shift. Glaze colors on ceramics can batch-vary. Weave tightness in baskets can loosen under production pressure. A pre-shipment inspection catches these issues while the factory can still fix them, before the goods are packed into a container and shipped. The cost of an inspection is a fraction of the cost of a rejected shipment or a retail return.
Inspection Coverage by Product
For candles, our QC checks cover wax surface finish, wick placement, jar fill level, fragrance load, label print quality, cap fit, and outer carton condition. For ceramic planters, we check glaze uniformity, absence of cracks or chips, dimensional accuracy, color matching across the set, drainage hole size, and carton drop-test compliance. For woven baskets, we check weave density and consistency, moisture content (target below 14%), handle and rim attachment, liner quality, and outer packaging condition.

How much notice do you need to schedule a quality inspection?
We need at least 5 business days notice to schedule a pre-shipment inspection. Please contact us when production is at 80% completion so we can book the inspector and confirm the date with the factory. For urgent inspections, contact us directly by WhatsApp at +84 964 815 107.
What sampling method do you use during inspections?
We use the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) sampling standard, which is the international norm for pre-shipment inspections. The sample size is determined by your total order quantity. We apply AQL 2.5 for major defects and AQL 4.0 for minor defects by default, but can adjust these to match your retailer's requirements if needed.
What happens if the inspection finds defects?
If our inspection identifies defects above the AQL threshold, we issue a FAIL report with detailed photos and a description of each defect type. We then liaise with the factory on your behalf to agree on a corrective action plan — rework, replacement, or re-inspection. We do not release a PASS report until the goods meet your specifications.
